something's goto give

sometimes in life, you spend so much time searching for that very thing.
but when you finally do, you are simply too afraid of going after it.
you cling onto the past and wonder
is it worth the risk
is it the one
is this a delusion
why should i give up so much
for something that looks so ordinary.

perhaps that's the irony of life
we all seem to want life's extraordinary gifts
but it's actually the very ordinary that truly is extraordinary.
